According
to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the government agency
will hold a series of activities to mark Vietnam's "Cultural Heritage
Day" at the Culture-tourism village of Vietnamese ethnic groups on
November 23 - 24.
Accordingly,
these cultural activities will include a ceremony to inaugurate Cham
cultures in the village; Kate festival; wedding of Cham ethnic people in
the southern province of An Giang; an exhibition on objects, special
foods and culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups and the Cham ethnic
minority group in integration and development.
Especially, on the evening of November 23, an art performance to mark the Day and open Cham towers in the village will take place with live broadcasts on many channels of Vietnam Television.
The event aims to continue the implementation of the resolution on building and developing advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identities and introduce Vietnamese and international people to specific cultural values of Vietnamese ethnic groups in general and the Cham ethnic group in particular.
It also aims to introduce tangible and intangible cultural values, contributing to strengthen solidarity among ethnic minority groups.
